I am writing to ask for your vote for Bob Stubbe for Mayor of Papillion. During the 18 years Bob’s been
on the Papillion City Council, he’s served alongside me as the Ward IV City Council representative. I’ve
voted for him in that spot and, before he won election, I voted against him. I have history with Bob
Stubbe. You can look up Bob’s qualifications on his website and I won’t spend time with specifics. It’s
enough for me to just say: Bob’s the Most Qualified Candidate. So, he gets my vote.
I’m a life-long registered Democrat. I’ve never voted for a Republican for any state or federal partisan
office. I likely never will. Their views on how government should serve people differ from mine. So, my
Democrat friends have asked why I’d vote for Republican Bob Stubbe for Papillion Mayor.
Over the past 30+ years as a city employee and a city councilmember, I’ve seen many city mayors do
that job. That experience tells me the job is a management job and presents few social or political
decisions that cause political strife and differences. So, I’ve voted for Republicans for Mayor in two
cities where I’ve lived and I’ve been pleased with my vote.
Bob Stubbe has years of management experience in MUD, the City of Omaha, and the City of Papillion.
During our time together in city government, he’s made management decisions I’ve agreed with, and
decisions I did not. But our differences have never made me question his ability to manage a
government entity well, we just saw the management needs differently. Bob’s opponent in this year’s
Papillion Mayoral election, a former Democrat, stands far behind Bob in his ability to properly manage
Papillion government as the city continues to grow as the best place to live.
For these very practical reasons that best serve to provide Papillion residents and their SID neighbors
with a continued high quality of life, I’m voting for Bob Stubbe to be the next Papillion Mayor. I
encourage you to do that too.
